Abstract: Soft tissue augmentation is an effective technique for improving both the quality and contour of peri-implant soft tissues. The selection of surgical procedures and materials has been a major focus of ongoing research. In recent years, the application of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in soft tissue augmentation procedures has garnered significant attention. However, there remains a lack of systematic discussion regarding its indications, application methods, and clinical outcomes. This article reviews the clinical strategies for soft tissue augmentation, and explores the mechanisms, research progress, and clinical effects related to PRF in peri-implant tissue augmentation, aiming to provide valuable insights for clinical application.
