Abstract: Scissors-bite will reduce chewing efficiency and affect appearance. Scissors-bite accompanied with periodontitis and alveolar bone loss is a clinical challenge. To investigate implant restoration of complex adult unilateral posterior scissors-bite, interdisciplinary approaches, including periodontal initial therapy and alveolar ridge preservation, were conducted before implant-supported fixed restoration. Peri-implantitis was treated with implantoplasty, GBR and keratinized gingival augmentation. The result was stable at 6 months follow-up, and occlusion was ideal in T-scan analysis. Fixed implant restoration for the adult unilateral posterior scissors-bite patient after hard and soft tissue augmentation and sufficient maintenance care was effective.
