How to improve the safety of oral implant outpatient treatment during the COVID-19 epidemic

Abstract: The outbreak and spread of covid-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019) has become a "public health emergency of international concern" identified by the world health organization [1], bringing huge challenges to the diagnosis, treatment and care of oral implant clinics. The specialty of oral implant treatment and the epidemiological characteristics of covid-19 make oral medical personnel a high-risk group for covid-19 infection, and the outbreak of the epidemic is at risk of oral operation. According to the general requirements for prevention and the professional characteristics of dental implant clinics, this paper formulated relevant nursing prevention and control measures to ensure orderly nursing work and improve the safety of diagnosis and treatment. The contents of this paper include pre-examination and triage, protection under different working scenarios and improving the environmental safety of oral implant outpatient service, etc. The oral care and protection strategies under the epidemic situation are proposed to protect the health of medical staff and patients, so as to provide reference for the nursing and prevention work of oral implant outpatient service during the epidemic period.
