Maxillary sinus floor elevation with maxillary sinus cyst: a clinical summary of 11 cases

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the feasibility of simultaneous implantation of maxillary sinus floor eleva-tion in the presence of maxillary sinus cysts. Methods: 11cases with maxillary posterior teeth implants and maxillary sinus cysts were selected. Extra-maxillary sinus elevation was needed. 15 cysts were treat-ed and implants were implanted at the same time. After 6-9 months, the bone union and cyst recurrence were examined. Result: All the 11 patients achieved good clinical results. All the 11 patients achieved good clinical results. All the 15 implants had good osseointegration and no cyst recurred. Conclusion: In the presence of maxillary sinus cyst, simultaneous implantation of maxillary sinus floor elevation is reliable.
